POLICY OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Policy of quality management and environmental protection is integral part of the overall business policy of AD ALPRO. It is based on market oriented business strategy focusing on continuous improvement of the quality of business operations with the aim toward achieving superb quality of products and services, but not to the detriment of the environmental protection. To this end I hereby establish following principles of policy of quality management and environmental protection,
- Total enforcement and continuous improvement of the quality management system and environmental protection, in line with requests of the series of standards ISO 9000 and ISO 14001.
- The primary priority in all out activities is ensuring quality of products and services that fully meets requests, needs and expectations of the clients.
- AD ALPRO shall make impact on its aspects (emission of matter in air, water and soil) through its mechanism of quality management system and in line with goals of environmental protection and shall permanently keep them under control in accordance with criteria set out by relevant legal regulations. Apart from the said criteria, the employees in AD ALPRO, are required to minimize negative aspects, complying with even stricter criteria than those stipulated by legal framework, in all segments of work in which it is feasible and rational, relying on knowledge of the work process, intensity and scope of its aspects, through permanent improvement of the system. Within the scope of the mechanism of quality management system and environmental protection all aspects are periodically re-examined, while legal regulations are regularly observed, because of the possible changes that may affect this system.
- Quality of products and services is ensured along with simultaneous winning of new markets and stepping up business efficiency and effectiveness, as conditions for achieving overall business success of the joint stock company.
- System of quality management and environmental protection comprises all business units of AD ALPRO, which, through performing their jobs, ensure required quality set out by documentation and adopted standards, with adequate preservation of environment. Leadership commitment, available resources (expert human resources and state-of-the–art equipment) as well as documented management system shall guarantee accomplishment of the policy of quality management and environmental protection.
- Managers at all levels and every employee in his position are held liable for the enforcement of the prescribed documentation and achieving required quality management and environmental protection. Besides, all of them should develop awareness on quality system and environmental protection and improve method and way of work through their inputs and innovations, leading toward permanent furthering up of the process.
- Company leadership shall ensure improvement of the system by pursuing internal and external checking of the system.
- Permanent gathering and analysis of the data and pieces of information from AD ALPRO process and its vicinity, based on which proper actions are taken.
- Permanent functioning of the production processes and improvement of the quality of work in production shall be ensured through preventive maintenance, modernization of the existing and introduction of new technologies as well as through expanding scope of knowledge of technical staff.
- By observing obligations taken over from the contracts, we maintain permanent cooperation with clients and suppliers in enforcement of this policy and developing of good partners’ relations.
- AD ALPRO leadership shall support implementation of this policy and achievement of the high culture of quality, along with adhering to requests of the society and environmental protection, by personal example and relevant programs of motivation and professional training of the employees. In September 2007, re-certification of the quality management system was carried out by Lloyd's Register, and in October, Pancert – Novi Sad conducted supervision checking of the environomental protection system. In view of the environmental protection in 2007, following activities were pursued:
- Conducted chemical – toxicology analysis of the waste mud
- Conducted measurement of the micro-climatic, physical and chemical probing of the working environment for the summer period
- Approved Plan of measures and deadlines for the gradual decrease of emissions, i.e. pollution
- Produced items of evidence from the Plan, for the sake of obtaining ecological permit
- Provided ecological permit for all work processes
- Provided water supply system permit for the period of 5 years
- Conducted control of the quality of waste waters and determination of equivalent number of residents (EBS) by the method of measurement
- Conducted cleaning of ''Putox'' equipment
All parameters related to conducted measurements performed by the authorized institutions are within the limits prescribed by the Book of Rules for this type of measurement.
Activities in the previous period
- In terms of product quality, environmental protection, and ecological requirements of the Water Management permit to 2008.godini conducted the following activities:
- Carried out monitoring checks the quality management system by Lloyd's Register;
- Carried out a review of the quality management system of leadership by all elements of ISO 9001 and the total grade of satisfaction of users in 2008
- Made of supervisory checks of managing the environment by certificated bodies Pancert-Novi Sad and the result of decision of maintenance of the certificate management system the protection of the environment and the use of certification mark;
- Carried out a review of the system of managing the environment of the leadership in all elements of ISO 14001;
- Measurements carried out emissions of smoke into the atmosphere from the boiler house on the solid and liquid fuel and gas to the Regulation on the boundary values in the air emissions from the plant for combustion ( "Official Gazette of RS, No. 39/05) and all values obtained meet the prescribed emission values of the border in the air in all three boiler houses except the concentration of CO in the boiler house on the solid fuel, which is near the upper border value;
- Spent on the basis of examination "filter cake" from the raw, and the water extract, analyzed mud is not toxic, has much the presence of aluminum, but without the presence of heavy metals, and in that sense can be put down without any special measures of protection because of their weak dissolubility;
- Testing done working environment microclimatic conditions, noise, lighting, and the concentration of dust and chemical hazard and measured the size of the allowed limits in comparison with the applicable regulations and standards;
- Waste water testing carried out according to the Regulation on waste water drop in the surface waters ( "Official Gazette of RS, No. 44/01) and obtained the value of physical-chemical testing laboratory and meet the requirements of the Rules, effluent is not showing toxic elements, and the effect of waste water purification technology meets the requirements of the Rules and obtained the following values of parameters for the suspended matter 95.1%, 81.4% for nickel, cadmium for 73% and 50.3% for aluminum.
